"English is best"But don't be fooled. The are still some unscrupulous people out there that will sell you a 'UK system' that is merely a US system with a UK bottle, or worse still (and I know the company that does it), sell you a system made from compressed air components!! It might look pretty and be cheap, but that's about it.Did you know that it is illegal to refill most American nitrous bottles in the UK as they are are not EU approved? Under international agreement, it is okay to import the cylinders, but they should be returned to the US for filling! (how pointless is that). For more legal information, click - Is my Cylinder EU approved? Advantages of Wizards Systems Over Other SystemsThe Americans may have been using N2O for years, but they use outdated technology and components that are not as reliable as our kits. Fact is, they do not need to improve their technology, because people buy it and presume they are getting good stuff from a well known name. WON kits are the best, sure you may find cheaper, but not better. The Wizards of NOS, (Highpower or WON) use patented Pulsoid valve technology that far exceeds the dated American kit designs in terms of flow rate, reliability and control. The American design means that the gas has to pass five 90 degree bends inside the solenoid when activated. Highpower's patented pulsoid design means only one bend, greatly improving flow rate and reducing pressure drop across the solenoid. American kits are also jetted at the injectors - which is not the best option. If there is any air in the lines after the fuel solenoid (which there will be when all fuel has evaporated), then the fuel cannot reach the motor until it has pushed all this air through the smaller fuel jet at the inlet manifold end (injector) on US style systems. This increases the time it takes to for fuel to arrive at the motor, meaning the mixture can go lean for an instant, when you hit the button on US style systems, as the nitrous reaches the engine first (also because the nitrous jet is bigger and the air is pushed through it faster under 800psi nitrous pressure). This can start destructive detonation off even if you don't notice the delay, or it can result in an instant intake backfire as you hit the Nitrous button off the line due to the initial weak mixture (this has been known to fracture inlet manifolds and blow off air filters). This 'lean-out' is what gives the US systems the 'kick' feel when the system is activated. Feels great, but is much worse for the engine with the sudden extra load on components. If you feel anything other than a smooth increase in power on a Wizards system, it is not working properly! Smoother delivery reduces the risk of clutch slip, noted by the Performance Ford magazine comparison. If it's jetted at the solenoid valve outlet like our systems, then the correct flow of fuel starts instantly as there is no restrictive jet at the end of the line that you have to first push the air through first. If you have an American kit, you can upgrade it to use Highpower Pulsoid valves and injectors. I often get people say "yeah but it's still more for a Wizards kit". They are correct, but you can rest assured that the extra is being used to constantly improve the design and reliability of the systems rather than just selling the same tat. All I offer is the truth Neo. Highpower nitrous kits are the only kits recognised by major UK insurance companies (e.g. Adrian Flux) and adding N2O to your car can effect your premium from as little as £40. How do I know?I actually had a American kit fitted to one of my cars. It was more difficult to fit, the braided line is less flexible and I had to loop the excess line round the front of the car, was extremely difficult to get spare parts for and cost me more than a Highpower kit after I got all the parts I needed. Most importantly, due to the inferior quality of this kit, I will not use it and risk damage to my engine! I've now converted it to run fake purge instead and first time I tried it I couldn't shut the bottle valve off and all the solenoid joints leaked. If it has American solenoids or it's jetted at the injector, DON'T USE IT.
This is a price comparison of N2O kits done by Max Power, but don't forget to add shipping and import tax for the US kits! That's why I'm an agent for Highpower, who are the Wizards of NOS.
