This car had 40% cylinder leakage on two cylinders, meaning that the piston rings were likely to be worn. Still it managed to complete the Scumball Rally from Donnington Park to the Nurbergring on 25hp jets, no problem at all. In fact went extremely well on just the base setting, with no other mods than changing the spark plugs for a lower heat grade. Following this, we took the car to Santa Pod:
Standard with no gas it ran 18.4 seconds.
Plus 25hp nitrous it ran 16.3
Plus 50hp nitrous it ran 15.7
Plus 75hp nitrous it ran 14.9
We did manage one run at 100hp, but the fuel pump was not able to deliver sufficient fuel which resulted in a damaged spark plug and a 14.7 second run.
Changed the jets back to 75hp and drove it home!
